Sorry this is late I was plum tuckered out last night.

It was a good day of shooting after Bob Fraser saved the day, I left my timer at home. Thanks Bob!!!

We had 7 regular shooters and one newcomer. Welcome Burke Humphrey, please come back and join the fun!!!!!!!

Bryan Hood was our overall winner. Congratulations!!!!!!

WPGC Rimfire Steel Match Announcement for WED, 07 JUN

Hello Shooters!

Our next match is coming up on WED, 07 JUN.  Should be a nice day for shooting.  I will unfortunately not be able to attend, but Prairie City Slim has agreed to run the match for me; Thank you Slim.

Refer to http://www.westpointgunclub .com/shooting-programs/rimfire -steel/ for a description of these matches and equipment requirements. In addition, the Open class will be available. In addition to that, the Cowboy Class will allow two Single-Action revolvers to be fired “gunfighter style” (one in each hand).

Gates open at 8:30 a.m.; match starts at 10.

WPGC – Cowboy Match – Saturday May 27th, 2017

Cowboys & Cowgirls,

Have we got a deal for you, good food, supporting a great cause and a fun cowboy match all in the same day, Saturday May 27th, 2017.

Good Food, Nick’s Spaghetti/Steak Restaurant will be hosting an All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet, from 7:00 am till 10:00 am, for only $10.00.

Supporting a Great Cause, All of the proceeds from the Breakfast will be going to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Benefit. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

Fun Cowboy Match, The Mattaponi Sundowners will be holding their monthly 4th Saturday match. The stages have been written by Major BS Walker and are attached in PDF and MS Word formats. The gates will open at 8:30, with registration running from 8:30 till 9:30, mandatory safety meeting at 9:45 and the match starts shooting at 10:00. The cost of the match is $15.00 for non members and $0.00 (free) for members of WPGC. Additional information is available on our web site at www.WestPointGunClub.com.

Please note, the gates will be open by 8:30, a little later than our normal time, to give us time to enjoy our breakfast before the match. Also, with this being Memorial Day weekend, you might want to avoid driving on the Interstates as much as possible, due to traffic, taking alternates like Route 30 or Route 17 might be a good idea. Several of our “regulars” will be up in PA this weekend shooting at the PA state match, so we wish all of them Good Luck and Safe Travels.

What a beautiful day to shoot a match! Sun was bright, but not too hot, humidity was down, and a little breeze to make it even more pleasant! Congrats to our top shooters, Vaquero Gambler in Limited and Allen Estes in Open and overall winner.

And Congrats to our clean shooters, Tripp, Bob Blevins, Swifty, and Dakota Ringo.
